The Birkin 25 in Jaune Citron ostrich with palladium hardware is one of the most striking exotic Birkins in current production — a piece that fuses Hermès's most architecturally interesting leather with one of its most luminous warm yellows. Year U stamp, store-fresh condition. Jaune Citron — 'lemon yellow' — is among the most fashion-forward colours in the maison's current ostrich palette. It is a saturated, sun-bright yellow that reads warmer than chartreuse but cooler than Mimosa, sitting precisely in the colour band that flatters most skin tones. On ostrich, where each follicle takes the dye independently, the yellow gains additional depth and micro-variation across the surface — the quill bumps are almost lit from within. Hermès ostrich comes from a single accredited South African farm operating under the maison's own welfare and traceability standards. Each skin requires twelve to eighteen months of preparation in the maison's own tanneries. The distinctive quill pattern — the small circular bumps left by extracted feathers — sits in a deliberately considered arrangement across each Birkin body, with the cutter selecting the most uniformly-distributed section of each hide. Palladium hardware in cool white-platinum tone provides bright counterpoint to the saturated yellow. The 25cm silhouette is currently the most allocated and most fashion-relevant Birkin proportion.
