The Hermès Antigua espadrille in Craie is one of the most quietly versatile summer footwear pieces in the maison's catalogue. The Antigua is the maison's contemporary interpretation of the traditional Mediterranean espadrille: a slim slip-on summer shoe with a hand-woven natural jute sole and a canvas-and-leather-trim upper. It reads as the most refined possible version of an essentially casual silhouette, suiting both coastal-summer wear and refined urban day use. Craie — 'chalk' — is one of the most considered neutrals in the Hermès palette: a cool soft white with the faintest hint of pale grey undertone.
